MARK RONSON TO AUCTION NME AWARD

MARK RONSON has pledged to auction his NME award after the magazine gave him a bad review for his Glastonbury performance.

The musician and DJ said he was made aware of the review when a journalist emailed him to deny responsibility for the article, reports Festivalwise.

He wrote on his blog: "I got the following email from a journalist at the NME in reference to what I imagine was a scathing review of my glasto performance (if only I read the mag, I might know what it said....oh well),”

In the email sent to Ronson, the journalist said he was fully prepared to take responsibility for his own words, but nobody else's.

Ronson responded by vowing to put his Best International Solo Artist award on eBay, adding that it will make "an excellent doorstop" if it fails to sell.

Carl Barat of THE DIRTY PRETTY THINGS recently announced he is to collaborate with Ronson on a new project.
