British actress MIRIAM MARGOYLES refuses to confirm rumours she is a lesbian, preferring to keep her sexuality an enigma. The HARRY POTTER star, 65, prompted speculation about her sexual orientation after her work with British theatre company Gay Sweatshop. However, she refuses to confirm her sexuality either way, preferring to simply state she is "loved". Margoyles says, "I don't want to be pigeonholed, because you're limited then. "But I am really grateful that I am loved; it is the source of the most enormous happiness. "When I worked on LADIES IN LAVENDER with MAGGIE SMITH and JUDI DENCH, who are both widows, I saw the grief they had. "I know they were a great comfort to each other, because they had both suffered the same loss and were utterly devoted to their spouses, and I just can't imagine what it would be like to be so alone. "All I would like you to say is that I am loved. And that is the most precious thing; it's the foundation of one's life."
