MARADONA RELEASED FROM REHAB
LATEST: Argentine soccer legend DIEGO MARADONA has been released from a Buenos Aires rehab clinic after treatment for alcohol abuse.
The troubled sports star, 46, checked into the unnamed facility on 21 April (07) after weeks of hospitalisation following "overindulgence" of food and alcohol.
His personal physician Alfredo Cahe says Maradona will continue to visit the clinic as an out-patient, adding, "He no longer has to spend the night there."
This is the latest in a string of health problems for Maradona - he suffered heart attacks in 2000 and 2004 after overdosing on cocaine.
In 2005, he slimmed down after undergoing gastric bypass surgery.
