MANSON FAMILY KILLER RELEASE DENIED

LATEST: A woman convicted of murdering actress SHARON TATE has lost her latest bid for freedom, after California parole board officials denied her release from jail.
Susan Atkins was part of the infamous Manson Family cult which brutally slaughtered Tate at the Los Angeles home she shared with director husband Roman Polanksi.
Atkins, who has been diagnosed with brain cancer, was handed the death sentence for her crime, but that was commuted to life behind bars after the state abolished executions.
But despite appealing for Compassionate Release Consideration after learning she had just six months to live, prosecutors have concurred that Atkins shouldn't be freed, and officials have agreed.
