MANIC STREET PREACHERS star NICKY WIRE has put the band's future in doubt by becoming the second member to pursue a solo project. Fans of the Welsh rockers are bracing themselves for bad news after bassist Wire confirmed the release of the first track of upcoming album I SHOT THE ZEITGEIST. JAMES DEAN BRADFIELD also recently announced a hiatus to concentrate on his solo debut THE GREAT WESTERN, which is released later this month (JUL06).
