MANI: 'BROWN WILL NEVER REFORM ROSES'

Former THE STONE ROSES star GARY 'MANI' MOUNFIELD fears the rock band will never reform - because frontman IAN BROWN would refuse.
The group split in 1996 and Brown went on to carve out a successful solo career, while Mounfield joined Scottish rockers Primal Scream.
But although Mounfield would be delighted if his former bandmates decided to get back together, he fears Brown's reluctance to reform the group will scupper a potential reunion.
He says, "I spoke to (former bandmates) John (Squire) and Reni (Alan John Wren) about it a few years ago and they said they'd love to do it at some point in time, but Ian Brown seems dead set against it.
"If he changes his mind then we'll probably do it, but then I'll be back to Primal Scream after the one year of doing it."
