MANDELA GIFTED WITH COMIC BIOGRAPHY

NELSON MANDELA has received another birthday gift since his history-making concert last month (Jun08) - a biographical comic book set to be published in his honour.
The former South African president was feted for his upcoming 90th birthday - (18Jul08) - at a London concert headlined by the world's most influential musicians.
And now a distribution company has announced it has acquired North American publishing rights to Nelson Mandela: The Authorized Comic Book.
The graphic biography - created by the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa - features interviews, archived material and illustrations by young black artists as it follow's Mandela's life story.
W. W. Norton + Company plans to publish the work next July (09).
