MAN ARRESTED OVER ANDERTON 'HARASSMENT'

A man has been arrested on suspicion of harassing British supermodel SOPHIE ANDERTON.
The catwalk beauty is said to have alerted police last week (beg23Mar09) after she allegedly spotted a man lurking outside her London home.
Anderton, 31, is also said to have received a string of strange text messages.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "The implication of the messages was that he was watching her movements. When she received the first set, she went outside and saw him hanging around. She was shocked that anyone knew her number or where she lived. She reported the matter to the police but the texts kept coming."
Cops reportedly traced the unnamed man through phone records.
A police spokesman confirmed the arrest: "We received a complaint of harassment from a 31-year-old woman. A man in his 50s was arrested and released on conditional bail."

The best advice troubled supermodel <B>Sophie Anderton</B> receives is likeliest to come from her Mum, Sue, and her step-dad, John Deacon, --- not from text-messaging business blokes --- Obvious advice like change your phone number or throw away your mobile phone and get a fresh one, instead --- Problem solved, personal and kept private --- And without the local police having to help <B>Sophie Anderton</B> with her enquiries --- Exactly why The Press Association should deem such concerns nationally newsworthy, remains bewildering --- After all, news is something that's happening now (topical), that doesn't happen very often (out of the ordinary and unusual) --- And third, reader response to strong news stories includes "Cor, fancy that, well I never did? --- Crikey, whatever next, gosh, <I>it didn't happen in my day</I>" --- Get the idea, now? --- These media musings, respectfully submitted by <B>Trevor Malcolm, Portsmouth Hampshire</B>, with my compliments ==========================================================
