MALIL PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO ATTEMPTED MURDER

LATEST: Actor SHELLEY MALIL has pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend.
The 40-Year-Old Virgin star reportedly stabbed Kendra Beebe more than 20 times at her home in San Diego, California on Sunday (10Aug08).
According to website TMZ.com, lawyers for Beebe say three injuries - a stab wound to each lung and one to the throat - were life threatening.
They say Beebe nearly bled to death and there was "a lot of blood" on the back patio, the kitchen and the front patio of her home.
A male visitor disarmed Malil, but he found another knife, it is claimed. A neighbour then disarmed Malil a second time and the actor allegedly fled when he heard sirens.
Beebe's children were upstairs at the time of the attack.
Malil's bail has also been raised to $10 million (GBP5 million).
