MADONNA'S JACKSON TRIBUTE
Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson, describing him as ''one of the greatest artists the world has ever known'' at her concert in London last night (04.07.09)
Madonna called Michael Jackson "the greatest artist the world had ever known" at her concert last night (04.07.09).
The '4 Minutes' singer paid tribute to the late 'Thriller' star - who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last week - during her show at London's O2 Arena.
During her hit 'Holiday', one of the singer's dancers donned Michael's iconic stage costume of a single glove, white socks and a hat to perform a routine to 'Billie Jean' below a picture of the pop legend as a child.
Paying tribute, Madonna - who recently revealed she "couldn't stop crying" when she heard Michael had died - said: "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known."
Later in the show, she paid another tribute by projecting the lyrics of his hit 'Man in the Mirror' onto the big screens by the stage.
Prior to his death of a suspected cardiac artist, Michael was scheduled to begin a 50-date comeback residency at the same venue later this month.
