MADONNA'S FANS FIGHT FOR RADIO PLAY
MADONNA's US fans have launched a petition to get the MATERIAL GIRL's hits back on the radio. Some 3,000 devotees have signed an Internet appeal at petitiononline.com in a bid to prompt pop station programmers to end the radio silence regarding their heroine. The so-called End the Madonna on US Radio Boycott petition is addressed to Clear Channel Communications CEO MARK MAYS. Bosses at Madonna's Warner Brothers label are all for the fan-led petition, hoping that American radio bosses follow their British counterparts, who have A-listed the three singles the pop star has released so far from her CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR album.
