MADONNA, PALTROW AND LONGORIA PARKER DONATE TO ITALIAN EARTHQUAKE FUND

Pop superstar MADONNA and her best pal GWYNETH PALTROW are leading a campaign to help raise money for the victims of the deadly earthquake that struck Italy in April (09) - by auctioning off their designer purses.
The Material Girl and Iron Man star Paltrow are joining forces with celebrities including Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria Parker to sign and donate their Salvatore Ferragamo handbags to community charity GlobalGiving.org.
All proceeds from the online auction will go to GlobalGiving's Italy Earthquake Recovery and Relief Fund to help aid the thousands of people injured and left homeless by the natural disaster, which struck the Abruzzo mountain region of the country on 6 April.
Other stars donating purses to the cause include Lucy Liu, Dita Von Teese, Marisa Tomei and Lily Tomlin.
The auction, which began on Tuesday (02Jun09) on eBay.com, ends on 12 June (09).
