MADONNA AND RICHIE OPT FOR A LOW KEY CHRISTMAS

GUY RICHIE has revealed that Father Christmas won’t be visiting his and wife MADONNA's home this Christmas.

Speaking to People magazine, at the premiere of festive film FRED CLAUS, the film director said: "We cancelled Christmas a few years ago. And ever since we stopped the presents, we are actually enjoying it."

The SNATCH director added that the family prefer to enjoy a low-key festive season which is more in-keeping with their Kabbalah faith.

He added that the celebrations would "probably be in London" but that he would not be doing the cooking.

Richie is currently working on a new film ROCKNROLLA which will star GERARD BUTLER and THANDIE NEWTON.

The Russian gangster flick is based in London's criminal underworld, like his previous hits LOCK STOCK and SNATCH.

The director's last film REVOLVER is set to have its North American premiere in December, despite being released two years ago elsewhere.
