MADDEN EYES HARLOW'S DATING FUTURE

GOOD CHARLOTTE star BENJI MADDEN is a protective uncle - he is planning on keeping a shotgun to warn off any potential suitors of his young niece HARLOW.
Madden dotes on twin Joel and girlfriend Nicole Richie's daughter, who will celebrate her first birthday next week (11Jan09), and has no qualms about turning violent to protect the youngster as she grows up and attracts male attention.
He tells People.com, "I'm going to be keeping a close eye on her. I'll leave the shotgun right by the door."
And Madden has nothing but praise for his brother and Richie's parenting skills - because they put their daughter's needs above their own.
He adds, "When they had her, their instincts just kind of came out, and it's amazing to see. They just really put their child above everything.
"Joel is such a great dad and Nicole is the best mum I've ever seen. Joel is all about showing up. His main concern in life is protecting and caring for his family."
