MACPHERSON UNFAZED BY BOYFRIEND'S DRUG PAST

Supermodel ELLE MACPHERSON is standing by her new man BRIAN BURGESS after details of his shady past as a drug smuggler emerged in the press.
The catwalk beauty, 44, recently began dating 56-year-old Burgess, who now owns a London removals company. It is thought the pair met when he helped her move home.
Their relationship came under scrutiny on Sunday (26Oct08) when it was revealed that Burgess is a convicted drug smuggler, who was deported to his native Britain from Australia in 2000 after serving four years for dealing cocaine.
But MACpherson is reportedly unfazed by the revelations.
A close pal says, "She knows about his past and is fine with it. He's a good man inside."
And Burgess appears to have left his bad boy days in the past.
John Hess, a manager at Burgess' Aussie Man + Van firm, says, "I'm not sure of the precise details, but that's all in the past.
"Brian's a good man now who does a lot of charity work and spends his time counselling addicts."
