MACDONALD BLAMES LONDON FOR WINEHOUSE'S DOWNFALL
Scottish singer AMY MACDONALD has snubbed the chance to move to London and further her music career - because she fears following in the footsteps of troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE. The 20-year-old claims London offers a darker side to the music industry and is happy to avoid a life of drugs by staying in Glasgow. She says, "I lead a very normal like in Glasgow. I don't have to face the seedier side of the record industry (in Scotland). "I've never been offered drugs because I don't hang out in those circles. "I feel sorry for Amy Winehouse. Hopefully things are starting to look up for her now. It's a stressful industry and when you are being offered drugs all of the time, I can see why some people are tempted by them."
