MABIUS' BABY SCARE AS TAXI RUNS OUT OF GAS

UGLY BETTY star ERIC MABIUS had a scare the night his baby boy RYLAN was born in December (08) - when the taxi taking him and his wife Ivy to hospital ran out of gas.
The actor called a New York cab when Ivy went into labour in the early hours of 7 December, but the couple had no idea the trip would become like a plotline for a sitcom episode.
He tells Life & Style magazine, "We had to pull over to the side of the highway. The driver got out and started waving his hands to hail another cab."
Mabius and Ivy eventually made it to hospital and Rylan was a very healthy baby boy: "When he came out, he was so big, he looked like a toddler."
Rylan was the couple's second child and Mabius is sure they'll stick at two: "We each come from two-children families. We think it’s a good, round number."
