LUDACRIS MEETS WITH POTENTIAL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Rapper LUDACRIS met privately with potential US presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA on Wednesday (29NOV06) to discuss the state of children in America. Obama, who is currently a US senator from Illinois, is contemplating a run for president in 2008. The rapper - real name CHRIS BRIDGES - was in Chicago to launch the YouthAIDS Kick Me campaign to raise HIV/AIDS awareness during a stop at Northwestern University. Ludacris says meeting Obama, who is known for his warm personal style, was like meeting up with a relative. He adds, "We talked about empowering the youth." Obama has been surrounded by buzz that will announce his candidacy for The White House and has said he would make a decision in the coming months.
