LOVE STRUGGLED TO BELIEVE COBAIN LOVED HER

COURTNEY LOVE struggled to believe her late husband KURT COBAIN loved her because he was characterised by an utter contempt for humankind. The former HOLE frontwoman was left heartbroken by Cobain's 1994 suicide, but she concedes she had a hard time putting up with his desire to isolate himself from the world. She says, "I think he did love me but when you're dealing with someone who is that brilliant and that tortured you have to put up with a lot of misanthropic s**t." In the years following the NIRVANA icon's death, Love struggled with drug addiction but she has been clean for over a year and is preparing to launch a solo career.
