British filmmaker NICK LOVE has laughed off reports he is romancing pop star LILY ALLEN, insisting he is actually in a happy relationship with a journalist. Love, 37, has been linked with the 21-year-old SMILE hitmaker, but he can't understand why - because he is actually closer to her mother, film producer ALISON OWEN. He says, "She's a mate. I'm friends with her mum! "Someone has obviously said that. I called her and she said, 'Come on, man, I've got a number one single. Of course people are going to make stuff up.' "I've got a girlfriend who's a journalist. She's very nice and not interested in being in the public eye." Love was previously married to actress PATSY PALMER, who starred in British soap EASTENDERS. He has also dated PATSY KENSIT.
