Courtney Love feels conflicted over her legal battle against the makers of Guitar Hero - because she's convinced her husband Kurt Cobain would have adored the video game.
Gaming giant Activision included the late rocker as a character in Guitar Hero 5, which was released last year (09), allowing players to use Cobain's image to perform a number of other artists' songs.
Nirvana stars Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were "dismayed" that their former bandmate could be seen rocking out on other groups' hits, while Love threatened to sue over the game.
But the Hole rocker insists Cobain would have enjoyed playing Guitar Hero.
She tells Britain's NME magazine, "What p**ses me off the most about it is I think Kurt would be fine with having five Kurt Cobains singing the (Spice Girls) song Wannabe, like, 'Tell me what you want, what you really really want.'... I think he'd find that really funny.
"But at the same time it's gross what they did. Gwen (Stefani) started the lawsuit. I have really good lawyers now and will join that lawsuit. There was this grey area and they f**ked the lot of us. They didn't f**k Jack White, but they f**ked Gwen, f**ked Johnny Cash and f**ked Kurt... It's just gross. This is the rock 'n' roll business, this is what people do. They are sleazy; they do sleazy things."
Stefani's band No Doubt is suing Activision over the same issue in Band Hero, a spin-off of the hit Guitar Hero game.
