LOUIS WALSH 'NOT QUITTING' X-FACTOR
Despite rumours to the contrary, X-Factor judge Louis Walsh is not quitting the show after the next series, it has been claimed.
The Irishman had been quoted in the News of the World as saying he was planning to concentrate on his regular work as a band manager, with Boyzone's mooted return likely to keep Walsh busy.
He was quoted by the paper as saying: "I will do one more series. I have really enjoyed doing it but I'm not a TV star, I'm a band manager.
"X-Factor takes over your life," he allegedly continued. "By the end of the show I am exhausted, and then I have to work with my acts."
The tabloid claimed that Walsh wanted to spend more time working with his group Westlife - in the news recently after criticising the Spice Girls for pulling out of a planned chart battle - as well as former X-Factor winner Shayne Ward.
However, a statement on the reality show's official website has quashed the rumours that the judge plans to quit.
It read: "Despite rumours that Louis will not renew his contract for series five, we've been told to let you know that as far as the show is concerned, there is 'no truth at all in these rumours'.
