LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS CHARGED WITH BATTERY

LATEST: Actor LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS has been charged with domestic battery in Los Angeles. The YOUNG GUNS star was arrested and booked on 11 August (06) after an argument with his girlfriend allegedly turned physical. Police were called to the actor's home around 2.00 am and found the couple in a heated argument. According to news website TMZ.com, Phillips was charged late last night (21SEP06). Documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court regarding the incident claim Phillips "unlawfully used force and violence upon the person". He has been out on $50,000 bail (GBP28,000) since the incident. If convicted, he could face one year in jail and a $2,000 fine (GBP1,100). Phillips is due back in court for arraignment on 18 October (06).
