LOS CAMPESINOS! DOWN TO A SIX-PIECE

Welsh pop rockers LOS CAMPESINOS! will be one member down by the end of the summer (09) - keyboardist ALEKS CAMPESINOS! is quitting the group to go back to school.
The seven-piece band will be reduced to a sextet by August (09) after the stars wrap up their U.S. tour, but the members insist there are no ill feelings between them.
In a post on their official website, the group says, "After three years of LC!, in an incredible journey that has gone from inaudible student union side room gigs to playing in front of thousands in Caracas city centre (Venezuela); Aleks is now, as she always intended, departing the band in order to return to her studies."
