LOPEZ AND ANTHONY WARNED ABOUT ABUSIVE MOVIE SCENES
Hollywood husband-and-wife JENNIFER LOPEZ and MARC ANTHONY almost quit their new movie EL CANTANTE, fearing abusive relationship scenes would damage their marriage.
Anthony plays Hector Lavoe, one of the most famous Spanish-language singers of the 1970s, in the movie - and Lopez plays his wife Puchi.
The film follows Lavoe's heroin addiction, his violent relationship with Puchi and his death from an AIDS-related illness.
Lopez says of the film, "All my actor friends warned us, saying, 'Those abusive husband-and-wife scenes are gonna be difficult.'
"It almost scared me into quitting. With those scenes, we'd end up exhausted. But driving home, we'd just look at each other and say, 'We are so normal.'"
