LONGORIA PARKER RAISES AIDS AWARENESS
Stars including EVA LONGORIA PARKER, KATY PERRY and PAMELA ANDERSON gathered to support HIV charity AIDS Life at the 2009 Life Ball on Saturday (16May09).
The event, held in the town hall of the Austrian capital Vienna, played host to 4,000 guests in a bid to raise awareness of the worldwide fight against the killer disease.
Desperate Housewives star Longoria Parker, a representative of the American Foundation for AIDS Research, told the audience, "There's a terrible shortage of doctors and other healthcare workers who are trained to provide the proper treatment and care for those children (with HIV)."
Other guests included former U.S. President Bill Clinton, model Amber Valletta, and actress Fran Drescher.

I would like to thank Eva for coming out
strong in support of this terrible plague
called AIDS. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for being involved in bringing awareness.
I am working with over 150 children who have
lost both parents to HIV/AIDS and women living
with the disease in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya.
I am inviting Eva Longoria to come and visit with us In Nairobi, Kenya - and
see first hand the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS.
