LONGORIA INJURED ON DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SET

EVA LONGORIA was injured on Wednesday (05OCT06) on the set of her hit TV show DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Longoria, who plays saucy GABRIELLE SOLIS on the show, was leaving her dressing room when she fell down some stairs. According to Longoria's publicist LIZA ANDERSON, "Yesterday Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer. "She was taken to St Joseph's hospital in Burbank (California) for x-rays. Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised. She expects to return to work as scheduled." Anderson said the Texan beauty was still planning to fly to France to meet up with her boyfriend, National Basketball Association (NBA) player TONY PARKER. The star has denied reports that the couple have officially broken up and is joining him in Paris where he is playing in a few exhibition basketball games. This is the second injury Longoria has suffered on the Wisteria Lane soundstage. In August 2005, she was rushed to the hospital after being hit in the head by a falling pole.
