LOHAN'S DAD WORRIED ABOUT DAUGHTER'S HEALTH

LINDSAY LOHAN's father MICHAEL is prepared to sever his relationship with his daughter, if it means she emerges from her current troubles a healthy young woman. The Mean Girls actress was arrested in Los Angeles on 24 July (07), and charged with driving under the influence - for the second time in two months - and possession of cocaine. And her estranged dad is praying Lindsay can get the help she needs sooner rather than later. He's even prepared to step away from her life if it means she'll do what's needed to get healthy. Michael Lohan says, "If saving Lindsay's life costs me my relationship with her, then so be it. Because I would rather have her alive than dead or destroyed. "Lindsay loves what she does - her craft, her talent, her gift. It that gets taken away, I fear for the worst... She can rebound and set the biggest example in the world... but she's got to do it. "And, in order to do it, she needs the right people in her life."

Nonie: I agree with you to a point. But what's good for the goose is good for the gander. How about her mother stepping away for once as well? Her father hasn't even been physically in her life for quite a few yrs now unlike someone else who HAS had all the control. Maybe it's a case of too little too late for Mr. Lohan but he seems to be trying here. He's the one giving up all the fighting (and he's a fighter to a fault) but at least he's finally learning to back off when it calls for it. I'm not saying he's not an attention-seeker perhaps, but I think the reason he seems to run to the press with comments is that is the only way his daughter may actually hear his comments and well wishes. Do you think Dina would pass them on? Not so much.

MAYBE HE IS FINALLY GETTING IT. HE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT A LONG TIME AGO.
