LOHAN: 'I WORK AS HARD AS JOHANSSON'

LINDSAY LOHAN is annoyed she doesn't win as many film roles as SCARLETT JOHANSSON - because she is convinced she works just as hard as the LOST IN TRANSLATION star.
Lohan fears she isn't taken seriously by filmmakers because the last few turbulent years of her life - in which she was arrested for drink driving and spent time in rehab - tarnished her reputation as a serious actress.
And the 22-year-old is still struggling to shake her party girl image because she is constantly in the media spotlight.
But the star remains adamant she is hard-working and deserving of as many acting roles as the other actresses of her generation.
Lohan tells Interview magazine, "It's so impossible for me to actually do that (escape the media attention). When I was in Dubai, there was still press lined up around the hotel. So I find it close to impossible to actually do that.
"This is what I asked for, and in this day and age that's what actually goes on. But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn't mean it's going to last forever."
