LOHAN A 'FAME ADDICT'
Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan has been labelled a 'fame addict' by her co-star and Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine.
The Oscar-winner worked with Lohan on the movie Poor Things but saw filming halted after the young star checked into rehab.
And the 73-year-old great has now said that the tabloid favourite could be obsessed with making the headlines.
Talking on GMTV, MacLaine said: "She has her problems. I don't know what's going on, maybe lack of parenting skills and no boundaries.
"I think the addiction to fame, regardless of what kind of fame you have, is a disease and I think some of these girls have that addiction to having their picture in the paper and in the magazines.
She continued: "It really affects their work as they can't get insurance.
"It all comes down to money - if they can't get insurance they can't work."
While Lohan has struggled with alleged alcohol and drug addictions, MacLaine revealed a rather different - and very costly - experience with narcotics.
The Terms of Endearment actress explained she once accidentally mistook cocaine for artificial sweetener at a Hollywood party and spooned thousands of dollars worth of the drug into her coffee.
"We were sitting around and there was a silver container of what I thought was Sweet 'n' Low but it was coke," she said.
"And into my cup I put about a couple of thousand dollars of coke and I never got invited back."
