LLOYD WEBBER TO WRITE UK'S EUROVISION ENTRY
Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber has confirmed he is to write the UK's next Eurovision entry before searching for a vocalist to perform the song in Moscow next year.
The famous composer said he had accepted "mission impossible" and was fully aware that the task was going to be extremely challenging.
"In my life I have never shied away from the impossible and this looks like the biggest mission impossible of all time, but with the might of the British public behind me who knows what will happen?" he said.
A television talent search for the vocalist will now take place and hopefuls have until November 21st to send in their auditions to the BBC.
The broadcaster will screen a series of live shows hosted by Graham Norton called "Your Nation Needs You" and the winner will be chosen for a list of six finalists.
Lloyd Webber and Norton have worked on a number of talent shows for the BBC already, including "Any Dream Will Do" and "How You Solve a Problem Like Maria?"
