LL COOL J LANDS RACIAL HARMONY AWARD

Rapper LL COOL J has been honoured for his contributions to race relations.
The star was handed the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Award at a glitzy party at the home of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons in New York on Monday (06Apr09).
The prize was presented by the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, which aims to promote black-Jewish and Muslim-Jewish relations.
Simmons tells Allhiphop.com, "LL has a long history of social and political activism. He is one person who is not recognised enough for his gifts. I'm very happy to have honoured him for his many contributions.”
