Hip-hop legend LL COOL J refuses to let his sex symbol status inflate his ego, insisting keeping in shape is just his way of life.
The Phenomenon rapper, real name James Todd Smith, is proud of his muscly physique, but admits he works hard to keep trim.
He tells People magazine, "It (being labelled a sex symbol) may be slightly flattering, but it's not like I get up every morning and turn around to look in the mirror and say, 'Look at Cool J'. That's just not me."
And the star credits his personal trainer with helping him achieve his fitness peak.
He adds, "I have a great trainer. I try to make sure that I put a lot of energy into working out. It's definitely a lifestyle. I work out three to four times a week minimum and I really focus."
