LIZA: 'I'LL NEVER MARRY AGAIN'

Singing legend LIZA MINNELLI has vowed never to marry again after four failed marriages. The diva's last union to DAVID GEST is yet to officially end due to a lengthy divorce battle, with Gest's $10 million (GBP5.5 million) civil assault lawsuit against her being thrown out of a New York court last week (ends29SEP06). Gest claimed the CABARET star beat him so badly during alcoholic rages he had to be hospitalised. During an emotional question and answer session last week, Minnelli was pounced upon by a gay fan who proposed - but she snapped back, "Darling, I'm never marrying again. No more." With all the spare time she now has, with the battle with Gest almost over and a single life ahead of her, the 60-year-old instead seems to fancy herself as a life coach. She gave tips to aspiring dancers and actors and also left a bemused audience with this heartfelt message: "Be the person you want to be, not the person they want you to be. Don't let anybody change who you are. You're special. don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
