LITTLE KNOWN ACT BENEFITS FROM DEAD WILSON'S COMMENTS

Rockers ENTER SHIKARI have been given a big boost from beyond the grave - they were the last band late Manchester, England music guru TONY WILSON was championing before his death. The little-known group's latest promotional campaign features Wilson's raving comments about them, calling the act, "The most exciting band I've seen since the early Sex Pistols gigs back in '76/'77." Enter Shikari spokeswoman Sioux Z. says, "Tony Wilson was championing one band through out his last year, a band whom in many ways he shared much in common with." In one of his final press statements before his death earlier this month (Aug07), the Factory Records founder, said, "I was thinking about the best band in the world the other night. They're these young kids from St. Albans, just north of London and they are quite simply the best band in the world today. "I saw Enter Shikari live last October (06), before I got ill with cancer, and the sight of these boys on stage with 200 15-year-old kids with glow-sticks and glow rings going f**king berserk was exciting."
