Rockers THE FLAMING LIPS will celebrate the New Year in style with two big shows within hours of each other. The Oklahoma group will headline a New Year's Eve (31DEC06) show at Los Angeles' new Galen Center with CAT POWER and GNARLS BARKLEY before taking part in nearby Pasadena's Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's morning (01JAN07). Frontman WAYNE COYNE and his band will join other Oklahoman celebrities on a float celebrating the state's centennial birthday.
