LIONEL RICHIE APPROVES NICOLE'S JENNER ROMANCE

Pop singer LIONEL RICHIE has confirmed reports his daughter NICOLE is dating reality TV star BRODY JENNER, insisting he delighted with the pairing. Lionel is an old friend of Jenner's songwriter mother LINDA THOMPSON and his Olympic runner father BRUCE JENNER, and was even present at the birth of Brody. The MY DESTINY hitmaker enthuses, "I was there when (Brody) was born. They grew up together. "To see them together now is like, 'Where are you going with this?' But they're having a wonderful time. He's a great kid." Thompson adds, "Nicole is like my godchild. She's a darling girl, very intelligent and very together. I think they're very cute (as a couple). "Will they get married? Who knows? He's young and so is she." Richie, 24, has been single since splitting from ex-fiance ADAM 'DJ AM' GOLDSTEIN in May (06), while the PRINCES OF MALIBU star, 23, ended his on/off relationship with LAGUNA BEACH reality star KRISTIN CAVALLARI in July (06).
