LINDA EVANS IS QUEEN OF HELL'S KITCHEN

Actress Linda Evans has won the current series of ITV1's Hell's Kitchen after winning the public vote.

The former Dynasty star was crowned the winner of the fourth series ahead of comedian Ade Edmondson in the live final on Monday night.

Edmondson had been the bookmakers' favourite throughout the series but after impressing Michelin star winner Raymond Blanc with her concoctions in the final, 66-year-old Evans emerged victorious.

Both Evans and Edmondson prepared meals for head chef Marco Pierre White and guest judge Blanc in the final and the title was headed to Evans after Blanc picked her crab starter and oriental salmon main as his favourite lunch.

"I'm absolutely beyond thrilled to have had such a compliment from a man such as Raymond," Evans commented.

The remaining two contestants then ran half of the restaurant kitchen, but while one of Edmondson's dishes was sent back for being too tough, Evans meals passed without complaint.

She clasped her hand over her mouth and hugged former Bottom star Edmondson after her victory was announced, later saying she was likely to have "Ade withdrawal" once the show ended.
