LIMP BIZKIT ANNOUNCE REUNION WITH ORIGINAL LINEUP

Nu-metal band Limp Bizkit have announced they are to reform, with the original lineup together for the first time eight years.

Frontman Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto and DJ Lethal are to record a new album and will tour the world from spring.

Borland had left the band in 2001 and rejoined briefly for a brief period in 2004, but is believed to have repaired his relations with his former band members.

In a brief statement he and Durst said: "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other.

"Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognise there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."

The five-piece will kick off a world tour later this year, including their first-ever shows in Russia and the Ukraine, as well as major European festivals such as Rock Am Ring in Germany.

More dates are to be announced shortly on the band's website.
