LIMBAUGH OUSTED FROM GROUP TRYING TO BUY THE RAMS

Conservative commentator -- and onetime NFL color broadcaster for ESPN -- Rush Limbaugh has been uninvited from the group of Missourians trying to buy the St. Louis Rams. "It has become clear that his involvement in our group has become a complication and a distraction to our intentions," Dave Checketts, the owner of the NHL's St. Louis Blues who heads the group of prospective Ram buyers, said in a statement emailed to reporters. No immediate statement was issued by Limbaugh, who has consistently stated that he never made many of the racist statements attributed to him and that some of the most volatile statements were taken out of context.
