LILY ALLEN HAS FLOWER NAMED AFTER HER

British singer LILY ALLEN has had a flower named after her.
The Smile hitmaker was given her own lily by Manchester's Key 103 radio station and the British Horticultural Society.
Allen was given the opportunity to choose which colour she wanted the Lily Allen lily to be - and she chose orange because it reminded her of her grandmother, who died last year (08).
On receiving the surprise gift, Allen said, "That's amazing. I think the orange, you know why? Because my late nan died last year. She gave me a mug like a few years ago and it was this tea cup that she kept forever and she finally gave me the responsibility of taking it away. She was like, 'Oh, you can have it'.
"Literally five minutes after I got out the taxi I dropped it on the floor and it was that colour (orange) lily and for that reason I'll have that one. That's a really amazing present."
