LILLY PRAISES CLOONEY AND MOORE

Canadian actress EVANGELINE LILLY has praised movie-makers GEORGE CLOONEY and MICHAEL MOORE for creating intelligent, thought-provoking films. Moore's documentaries BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE and FAHRENHEIT 9/11 are among the most successful documentaries of all time, while Clooney's GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK wowed critics and garnered Oscar nominations earlier this year (06). Lilly is glad to see their special brands of film-making stand out from an increasingly predictable string of blockbusters. She says, "Hollywood is the Sodom and Gomorrah of today. "It's a world I avoid because it's destroying our culture. And yet, I've recently seen a turnaround. "People like George Clooney and Michael Moore are using Hollywood as a platform to send out positive messages."
