LIL WAYNE NOT DEAD

Rap superstar LIL WAYNE is fighting off sick rumours he was shot dead over the weekend (01-02Aug09) after allegedly finding himself embroiled in a gang dispute.
Reports began surfacing online on Saturday (01Aug09) suggesting the Lollipop hitmaker had fallen victim to the ongoing battle between the notorious Los Angeles gangs the Bloods and the Crips, following a performance in his native New Orleans, Louisiana.
The news claimed Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, Jr., had suffered six gunshot wounds after being hit with a 9mm semi automatic handgun.
But the rumours proved to be a hoax - the rapper was no where near Louisiana when the incident was alleged to have happened; instead he was touring the East Coast with his Young Money crew.
Wayne performed as scheduled in Long Island, New York on Saturday and played another show in Virginia on Sunday (02Aug09).
