LIL' KIM: FREE ON MONDAY

Jailed rapper LIL' KIM will be a free woman on Monday (03JUL06) after spending 10 months behind bars for perjury. The LADY MARMALADE hitmaker, 31, has been incarcerated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 19 September (05) after she was convicted of lying to a federal grand jury over a 2001 shooting outside a New York radio station. Her publicist TRACY NGUYEN has issued a statement from the hip-hop star, saying, "I am thrilled to be coming home. "I thank all my fans for all their letters, as well as my family and friends for all their support throughout the past 10 months." Her lawyer L LONDELL MCMILLAN adds, "She has accepted responsibility and handled herself in an exemplary manner." Following her release on Monday, Lil' Kim will remain under house arrest for 30 days.
