LIGHTBODY'S GO-KART RACE ENDS IN TEARS

SNOW PATROL frontman GARY LIGHTBODY was left in agony after a recent trip to a go-kart track - he was hospitalised with a broken rib after a series of crashes.
The Run rocker took time out for fun with his bandmates after performing at the T-Mobile Street gig in Dettenheim, Germany by taking to the track for a race.
But the group's day out ended in tears - after Lightbody smashed into a barrier and had to be rushed to hospital.
He tells Britain's Daily Record newspaper, "I had my very best idiot trousers on in Germany at the Street gig and we did a go-kart track in Dettenheim.
"I did say beforehand that I shouldn't be in charge of anything that can go over 20 miles-per-hour, and secondly I am the most accident-prone idiot in the western world.
"Did I heed my own advice? No! Crash after crash I finished on a particularly nasty one that put me in hospital where I discovered I had a broken rib."
