LIELA RECORDS WITH ROCK LEGENDS
Frontwoman of THE DUKE SPIRIT, Liela Moss, has been discussing her impromptu recording session with some legendary names in music.
The singer revealed she recently sang backing vocals on a forthcoming album by rock n roll icon JERRY LEE LEWIS.
Furthermore, ROLLING STONES guitarist Ronnie Wood, NEIL YOUNG'S bassist Ricky Rosas and BOB DYLAN'S drummer Jim Keltner were also in the studio for the session.
Writing to BBC 6 Music about the experience, Leila said: "Last Wednesday night (7 January) I got phoned up be some people in the USA, who look after Jerry Lee Lewis, and got asked to fly over to Memphis to sing backing vocals on a few songs on the session they were about to record."
Liela had been suggested after Ronnie Wood attended a DUKE SPRIT show in Los Angeles, which resulted in her travelling across three cities to get to the studio in Memphis.
"Mental. Legends. Jerry Lee - still got it. It was so ace I just had to tell because Im so excited," she added.
The new album by Jerry Lee is scheduled for release later this year.
