LIBERTINES 'REUNITE' FOR GLASTO?

LIBERTINES rockers PETE DOHERTY and CARL BARAT are set to get together again in a rare performance at this year's Glastonbury festival.

The huge open-air concert, famous for its hippies, mud and screaming girls, is likely to be the scene for a momentous Libertines comeback, according to the Mirror, which claims that the two will play an acoustic set at the festival.

Pete's band BABYSHAMBLES and Carl's new outfit DIRTY PRETTY THINGS are both performing over the weekend, but after Carl joined Pete on stage at the Hackney Empire earlier this year, the two seem to have made up and are keen to perform again after falling out in 2004.

One insider told the paper: "Although they've both got their own bands now, neither has had anything like the acclaim the Libertines had.

"The Hackney Empire gig reminded them of how well they used to work together before the band fell apart and they wanted to see if they could recreate that chemistry at Glastonbury."

The pair fell out after long-running rows about Pete's drug taking and he was kicked out of the band in 2004. And while it seems that the two have made up, they are still prone to the odd disagreement.

"Pete and Carl are still arguing about what songs they're going to perform - but whatever they settle on, it'll be incredible," said the source.
