LEWIS SUSPECT NOT FIT TO ATTEND COURT

A man accused of attacking LEONA LEWIS at a book signing is too ill to attend court, according to his lawyer.
Peter Kowalczyk was arrested by police after allegedly punching Lewis in the face as she autographed copies of her autobiography at a London bookstore on 14 October (09).
The case went before a judge at London's City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (26Oct09) but the 29 year old was not present as he has been sectioned under the U.K.'s Mental Health Act.
Further psychiatric testing will determine how the case will proceed when it returns to court on 23 November (09), his attorney Mark Fidler told the judge.
Kowalczyk has unconditional bail but cannot leave London's Lambeth Hospital, where he is being examined by doctors.
