LEWIS: 'FAN ATTACK COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE'

LEONA LEWIS is refusing to dwell on her alleged attack by a fan earlier this month (Oct09) - insisting it's not in her nature to be negative.
The British singing sensation was left in shock after a fan reportedly lashed out at her during a book signing session in London.
Peter Kowalczyk, 29, the man accused of punching the star, was arrested at the scene, and later sectioned under the U.K.'s Mental Health Act.
But despite cancelling several promo duties following the incident, Lewis is keen to put the ordeal behind her.
She tells Sky news, "It could have been worse.
"I'm still alive, it's just something you have to deal with when you have fame and the positives far outweigh the negatives.
"I don't like to dwell on the negatives, I'm a very positive person."
Kowalczyk's lawyer told London magistrates on Monday (26Oct09) that his client was too ill to attend the hearing, and further psychiatric testing is needed before the case returns to court on 23 November (09).
