LEON TOPS CHART AGAIN

X Factor winner Leon Jackson extended his run at the top of the singles charts for a second week with his version of Disney classic When You Believe.

The Scottish crooner became the third consecutive winner of the ITV1 show to top off victory on the show with the Christmas number one prize last week.

The Christmas hangover chart saw several of last week's festive classics slip out of the top ten, including Eva Cassidy and Katie Melua's What A Wonderful World which fell from two to 14.

The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl's classic Fairytale of New York managed to cling on, slipping to nine from four, as publicity surrounding BBC censorship attracted sales.

This week, though, it was 2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis who made her powerful presence felt, climbing up a spot to number two with debut single Bleedin' Love.

That track was the biggest selling single of the year, beating Rihanna's Umbrella and Mika's Grace Kelly to the title in the 2007 total sales chart.

In just two weeks Jackson sold enough copies to get to number four, while Take That's Rule the World was the fifth-best selling.
